Great day, I had a lot of fun, and feel I made something that might work towards something.
Also great to see everyone and meet new people.
Thanks for putting it on!

Twas good fun alright, though the time limit was fairly grueling. Here's what mine looked like at the end:
Train Crasher
http://gambrinous.com/shindig/shindig_signals.html
(click on junctions to switch them; aim was to make a sort of train based Burnout Crash Mode, but as it is now it's more fun trying to get them not to crash).
Kudos to Scott Baker who did all the art; you should see it w/ my programmer art
Thanks for organising it guys! _________________ Game development blog | Flash games portal | Follow us on twitter

Haha, that's just awesome, great to see some stuff on-line so soon after.
Thank you to Aphra for all the help and for the tea/coffee, pastries, muffins, biscuits and event promotion!

Banging day. Good to see old faces and meet new ones. Very happy how our game turned out. Can't wait for the next Game Jam.
Cheers John, Pete and Aphra.

I've posted the source code for my game here; you'll need love2d 0.6.2 to run it:
http://code.google.com/p/boatjam/source/browse/#svn/trunk/signals
I think the fun was more for me making it than it will be for anyone playing it but there you go
As others have said: a fantastic job on the organization, and great craic.

Well done everyone on the day, the quality of ideas and interpretations of the theme of "signals" was extremely impressive. Fair play to John for actually doing what the rest of us only talked about. Personally I can't wait for the next one. Also for anyone who wasn't there, there was a kick ass raffle with a PS3 courtesy of Havok and an iPod Touch with iTunes card plus PSN games courtesy of PopCap, plus top notch catering by the folks in the Science Gallery cafe, courtesy of Aphra at gamedevelopers.ie.
Martin Gibney picked up the iPod and the PS3 went to Patrick Cronin - lucky suckers! _________________ The Cake is not a Lie

Forgot to say it was really great to seeing so many use Blender for their entry! I might do that next time _________________ Formely Squash

Really enjoyed the day. It was very encouraging to see the level of interest in the event, and the huge amount of creativity concentrated in one room. Hats off to Greenbean and everyone who helped make it happen.
Let's do that again!

It's fantastic to see gamedevelopers.ie do something pro-active like this and it looks like it was a big success.
I deeply regret not trying to go now, I'll have to do my best to make the July Games Jam
More of the results would be great and an idea of what technologies people chose to use and how the found them please.
Oh and Plants vs Zombies t-shirts for everyone next time PopCap please

Damn it! Had hoped to make it but various things got in the way. If there's one for July I'll make sure I'm there. _________________ http://idoallmyowngames.wordpress.com

Was working with one other person on a space based game, where you'd use signals to find out where the planets were before you could claim them. It didn't get finished, but I got my sprites done...

Thanks all for making it happen, it was a great day and a really good chance to work on actual game design. For me most of my projects inevitably bog down in technical problems, when you realise that you only have 6 hours and you can't let that happen the gameplay really becomes the most important thing (as it should be!).
I'd love to get to another one this summer, hopefully 12 or even 24 hours if people are up for a serious competition like that
For now all I have up is a post to my blog but I hope to get a video of the game up, I might even go do that now.
