Media Cube and IADT are hosting the Innovate Media '09
conference on the morning of Wednesday, 16th December 2009 at the Carriglea Buildings in IADT, Kill Avenue, Dún Laoghaire.
The conference examines the current position of the digital media and creative industries in Ireland and whether the much talked about role of the sector in the so-called "smart economy" is deserved.
Speakers include Sarah Newman of Dragons' Den, Paul Rellis, MD of Microsoft Ireland, David Harvey, Founder of Digital Channel, Martin Curley, Director of Intel Labs Europe and Joan Mulvihill, CEO of the Internet Association of Ireland.
Workshops will also address the questions of commercialization and early stage finance, next stage funding in a difficult economic climate and intellectual property and copyright.
